- The B-24 Liberator was also a mainstay heavy bomber during W.W.II. Although not as aesthetic as a B-17 in its lines and profile, the Liberator was slightly larger and could carry a heavier bomb load. However, they weren't quite as sturdy and could not withstand as much damage. Camera position was between approach lights and B-24 altitude was about 50 feet as it passed overhead. This is the only B-24 in the world that is still flying.
