• This was taken at the wrong time of day for this side of the dam.  Look at the shadow along the spill gate.  Sometimes the correct time of day is not an option.  I do like the diagonal formed by the dam and the sea of green trees is a nice background.  The bushes in the foreground not only help frame it a little, they also "ground" the point of view.  This was a good sky day with beautiful white cumulus clouds against a clear blue sky, the type photographers love.  It didn't affect this photograph, but the nice clouds like this can sometimes cast a shadow over the area of interest and one must wait until the shadow moves!
