  • What if your city closed down its streets to make basketball courts out of them? You'd probably have to live in Indiana, home of basketball fanatacism. Mine does this around square in the middle of downtown every year for a half-court 3-on-3 basketball tournement that lasts an entire weekend. Proceeds from the event, started by Gus Macker many years ago, are donated to charity. The four streets forming the square have a couple dozen back-to-back half-courts striped off on them for the tournement which consumes the entire downtown district for the weekend. The man standing behind the "Gus Macker" sign is the official for this half-court. The 35-105 is useful for shooting daytime street events such as this one as much of the composition must be performed using focal length. There isn't much room to maneuver around the half-courts and the spectators.
